What cookies are

Cloudflare cookies

We use Cloudflare for security, performance, content delivery (CDN) and DDoS protection. Cloudflare may set cookies or use similar technologies for purposes such as:

These technologies help distinguish legitimate traffic, apply security rules and deliver the site reliably. They are used to operate and protect the website, not for optional analytics.

Google Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4). It is not loaded until you accept analytics cookies on our cookie banner. If you reject analytics cookies, we do not load Google Analytics and we do not set Google Analytics cookies. In production environments, GA4 loads only after you accept; it does not run in local development previews.

When enabled, Google Analytics sets cookies (such as identifiers used to distinguish browsers and sessions) to collect aggregated and pseudonymous website usage data. This includes page visits, device and browser information, traffic sources and aggregated reporting.

Turnstile cookies

Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile for spam and abuse prevention. Turnstile may set cookies or process technical data (such as browser signals and interaction data) when you use the form to verify that a submission is likely to be genuine. Turnstile runs on the contact form regardless of your analytics cookie choice.

Managing cookie preferences

When you first visit the site, our cookie banner asks you to accept or reject analytics cookies. We store your cookie preference in browser local storage under the key jny_cookie_consent so we can remember your choice between visits. This is not a cookie. The stored value is either accepted or rejected.

Choosing Accept Analytics allows Google Analytics to load. Choosing Reject Analytics prevents it from loading. Essential cookies and security tools (such as Cloudflare and Turnstile on our contact form) are not blocked by this choice.

To change your mind later, use Cookie Settings in the site footer. That reopens the cookie banner so you can accept or reject analytics again.

Browser controls

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and clear local storage, through their settings. Blocking or deleting cookies may affect how the website works. You can also use our cookie banner and the steps above to control analytics on this site without installing browser add-ons.
